In the world of women's professional wrestling, a new contender has emerged with some bold declarations. Mina Shirakawa, a star of "Stardom" wrestling, has set her sights on becoming the "goddess of pro wrestling". But in her quest for glory, she recently faced a challenging obstacle at the Osaka event on the 4th.
The "Naniwa Roulette" match pitted Shirakawa against 15 other wrestlers, with the coveted belt challenge right on the line. As the seventh participant to face Natsupoi, Shirakawa was eager to make quick work of her opponent with her signature finishing move, the Glamorous Driver - a modified split-legged tombstone piledriver that packs a powerful punch. Unfortunately for Shirakawa, she couldn't execute the move as planned and found herself grappling with the clock.
Despite employing the killing techniques of legendary wrestler Mutoh Keiji, including the figure-four leglock and dragon screw, Shirakawa was ultimately disqualified due to time limit. Desperate to secure the challenge right for the Wonder title, she turned to a higher power: Billiken-san, the god of Osaka's Tsutenkaku. According to legend, this deity brings happiness when touched on the feet. Shirakawa even went so far as to incorporate her own foot reflexology training, dubbed "Billiken Training", in her preparations.
But even with the divine intervention, her efforts fell short and she was left with a disappointing result. When questioned about her defeat, Shirakawa offered up excuses, blaming a bruised sole of her foot from overdoing the foot reflexology. This injury may have prevented her from putting enough pressure on her foot to execute the Glamorous Driver as she had hoped.
Not one to be deterred, Shirakawa switched up her strategy and went for a leg attack instead, inspired by her encounter with the Pro Wrestling Master himself, Mutoh-san. She had crossed paths with the legend at Gold's Gym and felt his divine presence, gaining strength from it.
In the end, Shirakawa remained undeterred and declared her intention to become the goddess of pro wrestling, following in the footsteps of Mutoh-san's god-like status in the sport. She set her sights on the Venus of the white belt, driven by her determination to succeed. As she disappeared, dragging her injured foot behind her, it was clear that this was just the beginning of her quest for glory in the ring.
